The juice is loose — again.
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice brings back Michael Keaton as the iconic creepy poltergeist in a sequel decades in the making that reunites him with visionary director Tim Burton and actresses Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara.
In the latest trailer, Ryder’s Lydia Deetz and her daughter Astrid (Jenna Ortega) summon an evil entity just like Lydia did in 1988. bug juice when Lydia begins to explain her relationship with the ghostly being.
When Astrid asks her mother who Beetlejuice is, Lydia begs her not to say his name – prompting Astrid to shout the fateful spell, “Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice!” and summon a character.

According to the synopsis, an “unexpected family tragedy” brings “three generations of the Deetz family” back to Winter River, Connecticut, where Beetlejuice was awakened for the last time. It is Lydia who “discovers a mysterious model of the city in the attic and accidentally opens a portal to the afterlife.”
“With trouble brewing in both worlds, it’s only a matter of time before someone says Beetlejuice’s name three times and the mischievous demon returns to unleash his own kind of mayhem,” the synopsis adds.

“She’s weird, but in a different way, not the way you’d think,” said Ortega, 21. vanity fair her character Astrid in February. “I wouldn’t say it’s bright and sunny at all.”

The trailer also sees O’Hara, 70, returning as Lydia’s stepmother Delia. She and Beetlejuice are sharing a “little moment as two,” the actress told PEOPLE in January. “It was so crazy and exciting, actually being face to face with Beetlejuice,” she said, joking, “Beetlejuice has aged really well.”
Keaton told PEOPLE in February that his work on the sequel was “the most fun I’ve had on set in a long time.”
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice it’s in theaters on September 6.
