Wyatt Russell’s Pregnant Wife Meredith Hagner Cradles Baby Bump at Night Swim Premiere

Meredith Hagner’s baby bump made its red carpet debut on Wednesday.

Pregnant Search party the actress stepped out with actor husband Wyatt Russell in Los Angeles at the premiere of his new horror film, Night swimming.

Photographers snapped the pair as they posed for pictures at the event held at the Figueroa Hotel in downtown LA

Hagner, 33, sweetly rocked her baby bump, which popped out in her long-sleeved black turtleneck dress. She completed her look with a gold handbag and matching gold shoes.

Russell coordinated with his wife in a black shirt and tie, which he wore with a bold red suit and brown shoes. The actor and his wife even kissed for the onlookers.

IN Night swimming, Russell, 37, stars alongside Kerry Condon, Amélie Hoeferle and Gavin Warren. His character, Ray Waller, moves into a house with a pool haunted by an evil spirit. The Universal Pictures film was directed by Bryce McGuire and written by McGuire and Rod Blackhurst.

PEOPLE exclusively revealed in November that Russell and Hagner are expecting their second child. In December, Hagner announced on Instagram that the baby was a boy and would be born in February.

“Deeply, deeply grateful,” Hagner wrote alongside a series of black-and-white photos of her bare baby bump. The couple are already parents to son Buddy Prine, 2½.

The couple has been married for four years. They got together for the first time on a recording in 2016 A folk hero and a funny guy together — following in the footsteps of their parents Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, who hit it off on set Swing Shift 1983. Their engagement took place in 2018 before the two tied the knot in September 2019 at Hawn’s home in Aspen, Colorado.

They’ve mostly kept their relationship out of the public eye, but since news of Hagner’s pregnancy broke, she’s been sharing more photos, including pictures of their Christmas party.

In November, Hagner shared with her followers an essay about motherhood that she wrote for a friend who was nervous about becoming a mom for the first time.

in her note, Hagner reflected on how she felt “so lonely and tired” in the early days of becoming a mom, and that “Isn’t that bliss?” “Aren’t you possessed?” “Aren’t you in love?” comments from other moms only reinforced those feelings.

“I would look back with a stupid blank face feeling like I was a terrible mother because I didn’t feel it right away,” she wrote in a lengthy Instagram caption.

“I wish someone had told me how normal this was and how it was in no way indicative of the kind of mother I would be,” Hagner wrote. She also noted that the “saccharine oversimplifications” of parenting “do not connect in any way to the authentic experience of a wildly nuanced and complex time.”

Looking back, Hagner said she wishes she had “viewed this time as a surreal hole in the universe” and “stepped[ed] easy” with herself as she adjusted to the changes brought by motherhood.
