Yash Pal Dayal was born on Saturday, December 13, 1997 (25 years old; as of 2022) in Chakia Mohalla, Karbala, Prayagraj (then Allahabad), Uttar Pradesh, India. His zodiac sign is Sagittarius. He started playing cricket after seeing his father playing cricket during his childhood. He started playing cricket at the age of eight and competed at the senior level at the age of ten. He studied at Bishop Johnson School in Prayagraj and began his cricket training at the age of twelve under the guidance of Ghulam Murtaza, father of cricketer Ali Murtaza. Later, he attended Kendriya Vidyalaya, New Cantt, Prayagraj and participated in many tournaments for the school. He trained at Allahabad Cricket Academy. He has played for regional and national level teams and captained the Varanasi district team in the National Schools Championship. When he was in tenth grade, his father asked him if he wanted to become a cricketer or focus on his studies; he replied. He then decided to become a professional cricketer. He received his Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Psychology from Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHUATS), Prayagraj.

He made his one-day debut for Uttar Pradesh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy against Chhattisgarh on 21 September 2018 and scored 41 runs with 1 triple. pillar gate. He made his Ranji debut for Uttar Pradesh on 1 November 2018 against Goa and took 2 wickets and scored 74 runs in the match. Yash Dayal was acquired by Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs. Base price of Rs 5 Crore. 20 Lakhs were auctioned at the IPL 2024 Auction held on December 19, 2023 at Coca-Cola Arena, Dubai.
