A yoga class in England was shut down by police on Wednesday night after it was believed to be the scene of a “mass murder”.

The incident happened at the North Sea Observatory’s Seascape Cafe in Chapel St. Leonards, Lincolnshire. The cafe described its experience in a Facebook post, assuring patrons that they host “lots of yoga classes that take place in the evening.”

“We are not part of any crazy cults or crazy clubs,” they added. “All in all, this situation turned out to be positive and we are of course grateful. I wish you a nice day, it will be great!”

According to the post, Lincolnshire Police arrived at the building at 9.30pm after someone reported “several people lying on the floor”. In the cafe, they explained that it was a “yoga class in meditation” and confirmed the quick arrival of the police.

“Thank you to Lincolnshire Police for their quick response,” they said. “I can’t imagine for a second what would be going through their minds on the way.”

A police spokesman confirmed to Sky News that officers received a call about the incident at 8.56pm from a “well-intentioned” caller.

“I feel really bad for whoever that person was [phoned police] that would be terrifying, of course. I feel for them,” she said. “But at the same time, you have to see the bright side of it.”

Laws said the class consisted of seven students and recalled seeing “two dog walkers peering intently through the glass window.”

“It wasn’t until after we left that I knew these people had called and said there was a mass murderer; they were in robes and they were walking all over the people, and it looked like some kind of ritual, and that the people on the floor were actually dead,” she added.
