Redditor Equivalent_turn8115 posted a puzzle on the social media platform and challenged users to “find the wooden rattlesnake.”
They explained that their husband worked in the area and was within range of the venomous creature’s attack.
“[My] the woman almost found him the hard way by cutting bushes with a machete,” they wrote.
The Redditor said she called them out, but they couldn’t spot the snake without her pointing it out.
They also pointed out that he had nine rattles on his tail – but “never made a sound”.
The original poster was shocked by the near accident and grateful for his wife’s good fortune.
“They molt at this time of year, which makes it all the more incredible that she wasn’t tagged,” they said.
