Its stunning color helps it blend in perfectly with the surrounding mountains.
Max Waugh took stunning photos of a snow leopard standing on the side of a rocky canyon in the Altai Mountains of western Mongolia.
However, you’ll have to keep your eyes peeled if you think you have a chance to spot the impressive animal in this cryptic image.
Mas from Seattle, USA, said: “These cats are hard to spot. This photo really shows typical snow leopard habitat.”
“Most people mistakenly think they live permanently in snow-covered habitats, when in fact they are often found in drier areas, such as the high mountains of the Altai desert.
“In this environment, their gray and black spotted fur does an excellent job of camouflaging the cats. Unless you’re familiar with the environment and the subject, it’s hard to choose subjects.
“Looking for any kind of movement certainly helps, but the leopard’s camouflage helps break up the more familiar animal form.”
People on the internet are left scratching their heads over this perplexing puzzle, while the wildcat sneaks out of sight.
If you can spot a tiger in just five seconds or less, then you have very keen eyesight.
