Like many others, Zachary Quinto experienced embarrassing and embarrassing moments during his twelve years. One just happened during an audition for The Mickey Mouse Club.
During an appearance on the Wednesday, December 4th edition of The Crushed podcast, the actor, 47, recalled the revision for the renewed version of the series, The brand new Mickey Mouse club, which featured Justin Timberlake, Ryan Gosling, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Keri Russell.
Quinto said he recently came across a video of a cattle audition he did for the show when he was “maybe 12 or 13.”

“I remember it was early in my time as a performer, and I went to this hotel in Pittsburgh, and there were probably hundreds of kids there. I mean, it was like beforeamerican idol” he said, noting that he auditioned for the song “42nd Street” from the musical of the same name with a “full haircut.”
“Like, really bad,” Quinto said. “It’s not great. It wasn’t good, although some would say I did some research early on to play Spock, but I really went through the world with this haircut. And they were bad guys. I can’t overstate how bad it was.” (Quinto played Spock in Star Trek movies from 2009 and later.)

He added that the casting director was also “mean” and “made fun of” his hair.
“Watching the way I reacted to it was so insightful because I heard it, I felt it, and then I jumped right over it,” Quinto said, noting that he came back with a response “that was heartbreakingly self-deprecating and self-deprecating.”

“But also unconsciously smart and incredibly resilient,” he added, describing it as “more of an esoteric, awkward moment from my teenage years, but it was profound.”
“That was one that I really learned a lot from, and I think I really grew from, the ability to love myself,” he said.
Quinto now stars in the NBC medical drama, Brilliant minds.
