Zelensky ‘prepared to end Ukraine War in exchange for Nato status’ – even if Russia ‘doesn’t immediately give back land’

Volodymyr Zelensky revealed that he is ready to sign a peace agreement even if Russia does not immediately return the land it occupied.

Ukraine’s brave president says his country must join the NATO defense alliance if it wants to pause fighting with Russia.

He told Sky News: “If we want to stop the hot phase of the war, we have to bring under the NATO umbrella the territory of Ukraine that we have under our control.

“We have to do it quickly. And then on [occupied] territory of Ukraine, Ukraine can return them diplomatically.”

Zelensky said it is crucial that NATO “immediately” cover all the land controlled by Kiev, so that Vladimir Putin does not use the peace to prepare another invasion.

The invitation to NATO itself would also have to recognize Ukraine’s internationally recognized borders, Zelensky said.

But Russian tyrant Putin has previously ruled out his country agreeing to Ukraine joining NATO.

He wants Ukraine to be neutral and even said in June that Ukraine must drop its NATO bid for peace talks to begin.

Zelensky said in a new interview that Ukraine would later try to return any Ukrainian land still held by Russia in a “diplomatic way.”

It was not clear exactly what that meant or how Ukraine would force Russia to return the land.

Putin is expected to claim all the land he currently holds, including the regions of Crimea, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and parts of Kharkiv.

Zelenskiy also said he wants to work directly with President-elect Donald Trump because the Republican has promised to achieve peace quickly in his term.

Zelenksy said, “I want to work directly with him because there are different voices of people around him. And that’s why we don’t need to [allow] anyone nearby to destroy our communications.”

Trump’s ‘plan to end war in Ukraine’ emerges after Zelensky had ‘great’ talk with Don – and Putin launched drone strike

Trump has not made clear how he plans to achieve peace, but analysts believe it will likely mean Ukraine ceding territory to Russia.

The bombshell from Zelenksy marks the first time he has said Ukraine could pause its fight with Russia before getting all its land back, with the Ukrainian previously adamant he would even retake Crimea.

But with the election of Trump and Russia occupying two football fields a minute in the east, Ukraine is under pressure.

Earlier this year, Zelensky presented a peace plan to the Ukrainian parliament and Western allies.

He announced a five-step “victory plan” that includes Ukraine joining NATO and increasing the alliance’s military support.

Zelenskiy also discussed the plan with Trump and spoke to the president-elect by phone after his landslide victory.

Musk – a surprise guest at the three-way discussion – also reportedly chimed in, saying he would continue to supply Starlink satellites to Ukraine.

A well-placed source said: “Nothing that Zelensky and his aides heard privately from Trump and his team was alarming or made us feel that Ukraine would be the one to pay the price.”

Zelensky’s new comments also come just days after Putin threatened to turn Kiev into “dust” with his new Oresnik hypersonic missiles.

Putin promised to launch more after America gave Kiev permission to fire US ATACMS long-range missiles and Britain’s Storm Shadow weapons at targets inside Russia.

Ukraine launched its first ATACMS missiles at Russia on November 11, and Storm Shadow missiles just two days later.

After Trump’s election, there were reports that Trump would freeze the conflict in place and establish a demilitarized zone down the locked battle line, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Kiev will not join NATO for 20 years, but the US will continue to arm Ukraine to the teeth to prevent Putin from invading again.

Who would oversee the demilitarized zone remains unclear, according to the sources, but it would not include US troops or an international body.

Russia is making gains by taking Ukrainian land to the east at the rate of two football fields per minute.

But Putin’s meat grinder costs thousands of soldiers, and the dictator sends 2,000 to their deaths in just one day.

The toll from earlier this week marks Russia’s deadliest day in the war so far, breaking the previous record set just days before.

Putin’s approach is failing miserably with more than 738,000 Russian soldiers now dying under Vlad’s orders.

British Defense Secretary John Healey has warned that the 600-mile front line is now the most unstable since February 2022.

Putin’s terrible threat to the West

VLADIMIR Putin issued a chilling threat to the West against US and British missiles being used by Ukraine to attack Russia.

The tyrant’s “response” comes after the Kremlin stepped up aggression in its invasion of Ukraine and expelled a British diplomat.

Moscow’s military has promised a chilling “response” to new Ukrainian airstrikes deep inside Russia using US ATACMS missiles.

The Russian Ministry of Defense posted a brief but chilling threat on Telegram, writing: “Retaliatory actions are being prepared.”

This followed Kiev’s first launch of long-range missiles on November 18, after US President Joe Biden authorized their use by Volodymyr Zelenskyi’s troops.

The Russian Defense Ministry said that Ukraine carried out new strikes on November 23 and 25 using ATACMS missiles.

Two of the five missiles launched on Saturday damaged Russia’s S-400 air defense system.

Two soldiers were wounded in another attack in which eight missiles were fired at the Kursk-Vostochny airport, which is also a military airbase.

The Russian Ministry of Defense has released images of what it says are ATACMS fragments, showing large shell casings on the road.

The Ukrainian military also fired British Storm Shadow missiles on November 20, which can evade air defenses.

The deadly strike is said to have killed a senior Russian military figure, Lt. Gen. Valery Solodchuk, and 500 North Korean soldiers who had been sent to assist Putin’s army.

This provoked a stormy reaction from Moscow, which fired intercontinental ballistic missiles at several Ukrainian cities for the first time on Thursday.

Putin has previously threatened to continue unleashing his devastating ICBMs on Ukraine and has already threatened to attack the UK and US “if necessary”.

The despot said that he will not refrain from using the devastating hypersonic ballistic weapon “Oreshnik”, which hit the Ukrainian city of Dnipro.

Kiev fears that Russia may already have 10 terrifying weapons in its arsenal, and Putin promises to mass-produce dozens more.
