Monday night’s episode featured one wedding complete and another on the horizon. Kimberly and TJ were ready to take the final steps in their multi-day wedding as Brandan and Mary’s guests began to arrive for their wedding. Although there was still tension between both couples, things seemed to be looking up – at least as they fantasized about their future.

But it wasn’t all marital bliss. Social media played a big role in one couple’s drama, possibly changing the course of their relationship.

Here’s what you missed on Monday night’s episode.

Brandon and Mary

Brandan is shopping for wedding clothes with Mary.

Mary and Brandan were two weeks away from their whirlwind wedding and things seemed to finally fall into place. The episode began with shopping for the couple, who were to buy traditional wedding attire, including a white dress for Mary and a dark red suit for Brandan. Although money was tight, Mary wanted to prioritize their once-in-a-lifetime wedding.

But money wasn’t at the forefront of Brandan’s mind – his mother, who made it clear she wasn’t a fan of Mary’s, was on her way to the bride-to-be’s remote village in the Philippines. “Right now, me and my mom, we’re not really close,” Brandan explained. “We barely talk — maybe once a month at best. My mom’s relationship with Mary is not good at all. They actually hate each other from the start. When my mom comes to the Philippines, I really want her to reconnect with me in some way and be in a good mood with Mary.”

Spoiler: Mom later said “that’s not happening.”

While Brandan was hoping against hope for a big, happy family affair, both women agreed to keep a somewhat polite distance (though Mary said Brandan’s mom was a “bitch to me” from the US — and things didn’t seem to change either they met face to face).

“The way she looks at me, like she’s so mean, like a mean girl. That’s how I feel,” Mary said in an interview.

As for Brandan’s mother, she said in her own interview: “That’s the look I recognize when you don’t like someone and you’re just pretending to be nice. She was manipulative. She isolated my son from me and the rest of his family, and behind closed doors she will make my son’s life hell. And now she will raise a child. I just don’t trust her.”

Kimberly and TJ finally became husband and wife!

Due to their birth and marriage charts, the couple officially tied the knot between midnight and 4am, leading to an all-night wedding. While Kimberly was full of joy on the day (and night) of the wedding, it was something of a traditional American wedding.

“I feel very excited. I will be with the man I want to spend the rest of my life with. It seems like a fairy tale is coming true – she said.

However, one aspect of the ceremony did not sit well with her amid the celebration: “I feel like it would be more relaxing to get married in the US because I could get married whenever I want.”

She later clarified her newlywed mindset, explaining, “If I were to get married in the United States right now, the ceremony would be over, the wedding would be over, and I’d probably be having sex right now.”

Instead, Kimberly and TJ danced the night away – outside the sheets.

Shekinah and Sarper

Sarper got another chance from Shekinah’s sister on Monday’s episode. The three of them went out to dinner in an attempt to get Sarper to ease the tensions that had arisen since their first meeting. “I have to make a better impression before he leaves,” he said. “It’s her sister and I don’t want her to be in the middle of an argument. Hopefully we can smooth things out tonight.”

The evening began with an apology from Sarper, who admitted that he “acted like an a-hole.” “I have to change clothes. I know that, for her sake and for our happiness,” he told his sister.

“I just really want to feel that you are someone who will show my sister how much you love her and how much you care about her,” she replied. “And I know it’s important to you to feel respected—but it’s just as important that she has that respect.”

90-Day Shekinah Calls Sarper ‘Huge Red Flag’

Sarper also took another big step in demonstrating his “good intentions” when he became Instagram official with Shekinah after long refusing to make their relationship public. He took several photos with Shekinah for the network, which alleviated much of her personal frustration with their relationship.

However, the nurse did not give 100 percent approval to Sarper. “Honestly, like last night and seeing how Sarper acted, I won’t erase those memories from my mind,” she said. “What happened was real and it worried me. He just seems very immature and has a lot of growing to do.”

Sarper accepted this warning, saying he would take her advice “so seriously” going forward.

Kenny and Armando

Kenny and Armando explore the possibilities of surrogacy.

Kenny and Armando hopped on the baby train during Monday’s episode. The two officially took steps to secure an egg donor – and what followed was a hilarious scene of men judging photos with little context.

“We go through hundreds of pictures of women and judge them by their appearance to see if they would be a good fit for us to have a child with,” Kenny explained.

There was some anxiety about the process, which naturally involved a lot of rejection. “I feel like I’m a little more hesitant to say ‘next,’ because I’m always very careful not to be rude,” Armando said. Kenny spoke for both of them.

The nurse who guided them through the process said there was a trend in the selection of Kenny and Armando. Specifically, that they “like very tall girls” and that Armando was “really specific with the type of nose”.
