According to reports, in 2020, Abigail and her boyfriend Sanam were summoned by the Mumbai branch of the Narcotics Control Bureau and their home was raided. The Mumbai NCB registered a drug abuse case against Sanam and Abigail under Section 20 of the NDPS after they confiscated Charas (cannabis) from their home in Juhu, Mumbai. According to sources, after being arrested by the NCB, accused drug peddler Anuj revealed the names of Abigail, Sanam Johar and 20 other celebrities from the television industry who were allegedly involved in the drug case.
