News about Adriel Favela

Adriel Favela paved the way for the emerging musicians who are redefining traditional Mexican music for a new generation. The music video for the Mexican-American singer’s song “En este amor,” which premiered today on Remezcla, is now putting his unique stamp on mariachi music. Favela also talked about the new direction of his next EP and his future plans.

With his trap-filled corrido “La Escuela No Me Gustó” starring Javier Rosas, Favela first rose to fame in 2018. He had been inactive for several years while searching for a new record label, just as he was paving the way for a New generation of local Mexican musicians. In August 2021, Favela signed a contract with the Latin American-owned Universal Music label Fonovisa Records. Since then, Favela has shown his versatility in traditional Mexican music while advancing the genre.

Favela told Remezcli: “I think it’s a reflection of so many years of work.” “I have definitely learned lessons from negative encounters that have shaped who I am today. We call it the “new wave” but I truly believe it is the culmination of a great deal of experience gained from failure, success, and refusing to give in to others.

Favela tries her hand at mariachi music for the first time in her new song “En este amor.” She passionately sings about the romance of a one-way street in a heartfelt ballad. Favela does everything possible to maintain the relationship, but unfortunately her partner doesn’t work out.

He shows another part of his talent by premiering one of his most exposed works as a result of his discontent. In the Sonoran desert, Mexico, the music video for the extremely devastating anthem Favela was filmed.

While mariachi music may not be as popular where Favela grew up in Sonora, Mexico, the performances he witnessed included guest artists such as Pedro Infante, Jorge Negrete, Vicente Fernández, and Juan Gabriel, among others.

The first sample from Favela’s upcoming EP, which will explore more mariachi music, is “Este Amor”. She wants his music and his sound to evolve with him as he grows. The EP “will take you on a journey through time to the depths of my heart,” she also assures her. “Perhaps, one way or another, people will come across an Adriel that is completely different from what they are used to. He also enhances musical maturity.

Favela’s music has progressed significantly since he renewed his musical career with Fonovis. Last year, Ella Favela was featured on the song “Sitting In The Corner” by Mexican-American recording artist Cuca and Kacey Musgraves. With her unconventional touch, Favela hopes to keep regional Mexican culture fresh.
