AGT: Fantasy League Premiere: Mel B Makes a Fiery Return with a Steal as Fan-Favorite Acts Hit the Stage

American talent is back for its latest spinoff — with a big bang!

The new season starts on Monday night America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League began, and the judges wasted no time in bringing the heat.

At the start of the episode, host Terry Crews announced the 10 acts competing for a spot in the semi-finals. Competing from Simon Cowell’s team were singer Kodi Lee and pop stars Billy and Emily England, while Mel B acts included magician Jon Dorenbos, singer Maria Seiren and comedian Tape Face.

Competing on Howie Mandel’s team tonight were pole dancer Kristy Sellars, sand artist Kseniya Simonova, dance/acrobatic group V.Unbeatable and variety show Shadow Ace. Heidi Klum rounded off the evening’s contestants with the show Hans.

Mel B — who was awarded the night’s Golden Buzzer — quickly made her intentions clear by stealing one of Simon’s spots from his fantasy dream team: Billy and Emily England.

A thrilling moment occurred midway through the episode when the roller-skating sibling duo took the stage and performed a rousing performance — complete with flaming knives on top of Emily’s skates.

The act left everyone in the cinema speechless and on their feet, with Simon declaring their performance “what the play is all about”. Howie said Simon was “very happy” to have the duo in his dream team, with Simon later saying he “loved them”.

But it was Mel B who called the siblings “spectacular” before stealing them away from Simon’s team with her Golden Buzzer. “I feel really excited!” said the judge as golden confetti fell from the ceilings.

When Terry asked the siblings how they felt about being stolen from Simon’s team, Emily joked: “Honestly, when Simon called me, 11-year-old Emily was a bit upset. I really wanted to be part of Team Mel B.”

“Well, that’s show business!” Simon joked in response. “I actually feel like I just got kicked!”

With the theft, Billy and Emily are now sent straight to the finals.

“We’re so excited to show you what’s possible on skates,” the sibling duo recently wrote on Instagram, regarding their AGT look. “None of this would be possible without our great team and friends.”

‘America’s Got Talent’ Announces New ‘Fantasy League’ Spinoff — And Mel B Returns As Judge!

Elsewhere in the episode, Kristy Sellars, Hans, Kseniya Simonova, Jon Dorenbos, V.Unbeatable, Maria Seiren, Shadow Ace, Tape Face and Kodi Lee all took the stage to perform their incredible performances.

In the end, V.Unbeatable, Kodi Lee, Shadow Ace, Kseniya Simonova and Kristy Sellars were the five acts who earned spots in the semi-finals. Except for Kodi, who was on Simon’s Fantasy Team, everyone else was part of Howie’s Dream Team.
