‘SNL’ Alum Takes Stage in Her “Ultimate Charles Melton Fan T-Shirt” at Santa Monica Awards

The 2024 Film Independent Spirit Awards are all about the love of filmmaking — oh, and Aidy Bryant’s love for Charles Melton!

At the awards show in Santa Monica (which hosts Bryant, 36, dubbed the “Bisexual Oscar”) on Sunday, Saturday night live the alum declared her love for Melton (33) with a very special T-shirt.

After he received the award for the best first screenplay May DecemberSamy Burch and Alex Mechanik, Bryant appeared on stage in an oversized black T-shirt completely plastered with Melton’s face.

There is more to Charles Melton than meets the eye

“Hey everyone, do you like my shirt? It’s my ultimate Charles Melton fan shirt,” the host said. “It’s got all my favorite Charles moments on it, you know, like Riverdale, May December… As I mentioned, Charles is actually here tonight — Charles, do you like my shirt?”

The camera then cut to Melton in the audience, who, not so coincidentally, was wearing an almost identical shirt — only his was covered with photos of Bryant’s face.

“Oh my god, wait, you have my t-shirt?” the SNL asked the alum. “And it has everything my best moments on it? Me as a screaming woman, me as a chicken in a hat and me as Ted Cruz vacation braids?”

“I told you it would suit you, big cutie,” she added, and Melton blurted out, “I love you.”
