Meet Alfonso Ribeiro’s children!

Alfonso’s daughter, Sienna, is the actor’s oldest child, whom he shares with Stapler. The former couple met in 1999, married in 2002 and filed for divorce in 2006 after four years of marriage.

In October 2012, Alfonso married Angela and since then they have had three children together: sons Alfonso “AJ” Lincoln and Anders Reyn, and daughter Ava Sue.

Alfonso — who also serves as America’s Funniest Home Videos host on ABC — is never shy about praising her children on social media, often posting sweet tributes to each of them on her Instagram.

He also keeps his more than 1 million followers up to date with his family’s happenings, from celebrating his children’s birthdays to fun vacations the Ribeiros spend together.

Sienna Ribeiro, 22

Sienna is Alfonso’s oldest child, whom he welcomed with his ex-wife Stapler on October 8, 2002. “Smart, beautiful, motivated, fun, passionate and makes everyone around her happier”, are just a few words that Alfonso used to describe her.

Similarly, Stapler – who frequently posts about Sienna on Instagram – described her as “fierce, determined, a force to be reckoned with, stunning, smart and oh so talented.” She added: “Sienna, I love you so much and I love watching you fight for your dreams.”

Modeled after her parents, Sienna is an actress who appeared in the 2002 film Death salute and has a role in an upcoming film Futuristaccording to her IMDb bio. Aside from acting, the recent high school graduate is active on TikTok, often posting videos and dance routines on her page.

In October 2022, Alfonso celebrated Sienna’s 20th birthday with a sweet tribute on Instagram. “20 years ago today you brought a new sense of happiness into my life,” the proud dad began in the caption. “You are an amazing young woman today. I am so proud of you, Sienna.”

Alfonso continued to list her accomplishments and expressed his love for her. “You’re a sophomore in college and you made your first movie this summer. I can’t wait to see all the wonderful things you’ll do in life. I love you to the moon and back,” he concluded.

His wife Angela also wrote a heartfelt message to celebrate Sienna’s special day. “Goodbye teenage years. Hello 20s,” she began in the caption. “Although I miss the days of turning my living room into a gym and my mermaid obsession phase, I love the beautiful, smart, kind, thoughtful, loving woman that you are today.”

Alfonso “AJ” Lincoln Ribeiro, Jr., 10

Ribeiro and Angela welcomed their first child, son Alfonso “AJ” Lincoln, together on October 27, 2013. As the second-oldest Ribeiro child and the big brother in the house, Angela previously told PEOPLE that AJ has a “special bond” with her siblings .

“He loves to tease his big sister, like all younger brothers. At the same time, he can be incredibly sweet,” Angela praised her older son in an interview with PEOPLE in 2017. “When his little brother cries, AJ is always the first to rub him back and sing ‘Twinkle Twinkle’ to him.”

Like his father, he has quite the personality too! Speaking to PEOPLE, Alfonso described AJ as “friendly, charismatic, funny” and “likes to make people laugh.” As for one of his favorite hobbies? “AJ absolutely loves mini golf!” Angela added.

When AJ isn’t busy on the green, he stops by the ballroom to hang out with his dad on set Dancing with the stars. Believe it or not, the co-host’s son has only been to the ballroom twice in his entire life! Alfonso shared a fun fact on his Instagram, writing that 2022 was the first time AJ had visited him since Season 19 — when he was a year old!

In celebration of AJ’s 9th birthday, Angela wrote on Instagram that she “loves the amazing man he is becoming.” She added, “He’s wise beyond his years, full of personality, funny, stubborn, loving, baseball-obsessed, and financially inclined.”

She also remarked that he was “the best orange juice drinker in all the land!”

Anders Reyn Ribeiro, 9

Alfonso and Angela welcomed their second child together on April 30, 2015, a son, Anders Reyn. At the time of his birth, DWTS the co-host thanked his followers for Twitter for sending love, while Angela said that Anders a “beautiful new addition” to their “growing family”.

As for his personality, Alfonso described him as “funny, loving, smart, cool, athletic, heart of gold and just awesome.” His mom agrees, writing, “His heart is as big as the world, his smile lights up any room, and his eyes… those eyes of his can look right into your soul.”

Angela also noted that she has a love for animals, revealing that she “can connect with animals and nature on a different level.” Besides being kind and caring, he is athletically built and competitive. She said Anders “plays every single sport and game with more determination and heart than I’ve ever seen from a child (or an adult).”

Alfonso and Angela welcomed their third child, daughter Ava Sue, together on May 13, 2019. The Fresh Prince The alum shared the news of her arrival on her Instagram, revealing that she sent her mom to the hospital on Mother’s Day, and she gave birth the day after.

Since her birth, Ava – described by her mum as a “sweet but fierce, charismatic, independent and crazy smart girl” – has grown up fast, but Angela “loves watching her grow”. Similar to her siblings – and father, of course – the proud mum said she was “full of personality”.

Plus, the youngest Ribeiro is “wise beyond her years” — and she’s also talented! Ava “can sing beautifully on the keys without any voice lessons and is already a master negotiator,” Angela continued in an Instagram post celebrating her fourth birthday. “I love her imagination, courage, athleticism and her ability to express and show love.”

Both Angela and Alfonso described Ava as “tough” and “brave” after the terrifying stroke she suffered the day before her birthday, which resulted in emergency surgery after falling off a scooter.

While appearing on Living with Kelly and Mark days after the accident, Alfonso spoke further about what happened to his daughter, revealing that “it was a very stressful weekend”. He explained: “She fell and she actually had a rash on her face and arm, so they had to use a scalpel to take all the skin off.”

When co-host Mark Consuelos asked Alfonso if Ava would be okay, the actor replied, “It’s going to be a long process.”
