Before he made it big in Hollywood with his role in 2001 Fast and furiousWalker dated Soteros, whom he had known since childhood.
The couple finally had a child together in November 1998, a daughter named Meadow Walker, but their relationship did not last.
Not long after her parents separated, Meadow moved with her mother to Hawaii, where she lived until she was 13 years old. She then moved to California to live with her father. Two years later, Walker was tragically killed in a car accident.
Although Meadow has followed in her father’s footsteps by creating her own career in the entertainment industry and keeping his legacy alive with the Paul Walker Foundation, her mother has kept a much lower profile.

Soteros and Walker have known each other for a long time because they grew up together.
“You have to know that his relationship with Rebecca … they were children,” Walker’s sister Ashlie says in the documentary. “And they were lovers, then friends, then they were lovers, then friends.”
She and Paul Walker have had a contentious relationship at times
When Soteros discovered she was pregnant, Walker’s mother, Cheryl, said she was afraid of becoming a father,” because of “the idea of having a child when he wasn’t really ready for a child.” Cheryl says she told Walker he should marry Soteros: “He thought alone, they’re in love, they’ll never be apart anyway.”
However, Walker’s uncle Rhett explained that the couple faced several ups and downs while having a “push me, pull me” relationship.
“It was hard,” Walker said in archival footage in the documentary. “Mom and I weren’t together and I was raised Mormon. I was told ‘Mom and Dad should be together.’ And that was hard for me. I was so confused – I thought along the way. I knew where I was. I was with the fishes, having fun – I was an animal. I want to be [a family man]my heart wants to be in it, but my mind just doesn’t follow.”
She was very close to Paul Walker’s family
Although Walker and Soteros had their problems, his family said she became close to everyone while they were dating. “[She] actually became a very big part of our family,” Walker’s uncle said.
“Rebecca was so close that I treated her like she was my daughter. [We] became a family that’s a little different,” Walker’s mother explained to her son’s girlfriend at the time.

On November 4, 1998, Walker and Soteros welcomed their first and only child together, a daughter named Meadow Walker, in Los Angeles.
In the years since Walker’s death, Meadow has become a successful model and continues to honor her father’s legacy through her charity work. She also remained close to his Fast and furious costars and even became part of the franchise herself.
She raised Meadow in Hawaii
While Walker rose to fame, Soteros tried to keep her daughter out of the public eye. “Things weren’t easy for Rebecca because people realized who Meadow was and they would come to the store and try to pick her up and it was a little scary,” Walker’s mom said in the documentary.
As a result, Soteros decided to move to Hawaii with her daughter. Meadow lived in Hawaii until she was 13 when she returned to LA and lived with her father full time.
“My heart was broken for so many years because of the situation with my daughter. She lives in Hawaii and she is there and I run here. My daughter now lives with me full time and she is the best partner I have ever had “, said the actor Entertainment Weekly just a few months before his death. “It’s so crazy. I’ve never had anything like this in my life.”
She worked as a teacher
While not much is known about Soteros’ background, Walker’s mother said in the documentary that she moved to Hawaii to finish college and become a teacher.
She stayed out of the limelight
Soteros has largely stayed out of the spotlight in recent years. While Meadow regularly shares sweet tributes to her father on social media, Soteros doesn’t seem to have any public profiles.
