Edoardo and Sasha had their first child, Lucia Sofia Ponti, on May 12, 2006. Lucia became Lorena’s first grandchild and namesake. The couple paid tribute to the Oscar-winning actress by choosing her birth name, “Sofia,” as their daughter’s middle name.

While Sasha was pregnant with Lucia, Edoardo wrote a collection of poems for his future daughter, which he published in a book in 2018. Letters of a young father.

Carlo Jr. and his wife Andrea welcomed their first child, a son named Vittorio Leone Ponti, on April 2, 2007. He is Lorena’s second grandchild and first grandchild.

Vittorio was born into a musical family: his father is a famous conductor, and his mother is a classical violinist. He followed in his parents’ footsteps as a boy, picking up the piano at just 6 years old, according to the Los Angeles Virtuosi Orchestra, an organization founded by Carlo Jr. in 2013.

Vittorio has won several awards for his piano skills, including first prize in the department at the 2019 Southern California Junior Bach Festival Complete Works Audition Competition, and was one of the top finalists at the 2023 International School of Geneva Instrumental Music Competition.

He will make his orchestral debut as a piano soloist with the Los Angeles Virtuosi Orchestra in January 2024.

Edoardo and Sasha celebrated the arrival of their second child, Leonardo Fortunato Ponti, on December 20, 2010.

“We are so thrilled to welcome our little Leonard,” the couple said in a statement to PEOPLE. “He is a wonderful gift and we are all in love – especially the grandmothers!”

Sasha previously told PEOPLE about the dynamic between Leonardo and his sister Lucia.

“It’s really fun to watch the kids interact, argue and just provoke each other,” he said Rizzoli & Isles said the star. “There’s a whole dynamic that I’m kind of glad I didn’t have — but it’s really fun to watch as a parent!”

March 15, 2012 Carlo Jr. and Andrea had their second child, a daughter named Beatrice Lara Ponti.

While her parents are tight-lipped about her upbringing, she has attended numerous events with her famous grandmother over the years. Beatrice was spectacular at just 4 when she asked Loren if she could carry her bag at the Dolce & Gabbana fashion show as they walked to their seats, and her grandmother was happy to oblige.

She also supported her grandmother during the inauguration of Sophia Loren’s restaurant in Milan in 2022, where the pair were seen sitting in a booth sharing sweet moments.
