dispute

  • As Sonakshi is set to sing at Justin Bieber’s concert, a huge spat breaks out between his brother Armaan Malik and actress Sonakshi Sinha over the actor-turned-singer issue war. Sonakshi’s brother Luv Sinha mocked his and his brother Armaan’s “acting” in the music video. Amal penned a lengthy post expressing support for her brother and the singer, and poking fun at Loofe’s acting career.

Amal Malik's post on Justin Bieber concert controversy

  • Amaal Malik has slammed the “biased” nature of the Filmfare jury. He said he was humbled by his nomination; as he said the songs he composed for the film were average and the other party’s film MS Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016) was a more important film and the songs were successful too . He further criticized Anil Kapoor’s son Harshvardhan for winning all the awards for Diljit Dosanjh’s debut with the film Punjab (2016) when he should have receive this award.
  • Amaal covered the song “Neend Churayi Meri Kissne O Sanam” from the movie “Ishq (1997)” and used it in “Golmaal Again” (2017). However, the song’s original composer, Anu Malik, wasn’t happy at all and said they didn’t ask for his permission before doing so. Amal responded that he didn’t need to seek his permission because they acquired the rights to the original track, “Sending All My Love by Linear.” He further added that he wanted to get permission but his uncle was not picking up his calls.
  • Kapil Sharma has been criticized for his arrogant and selfish nature. With the Malik brothers being dragged along somehow, there were rumors that Amal and Armaan angrily quit Kapil’s show ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ due to Armaan not being respected on the show. Amar was supposed to appear in Sonakshi Sinha’s upcoming film Noor (2017), but ended up not appearing. Later, Amaal refuted the rumours, saying that Armaan was not supposed to be on the show in the first place and that Amaal had to go out and do some important work, so he did not participate in the show. He further added that Kapil Sharma was very kind to them whenever they were on the show.
