Amit Gandotra was the Chief Operating Officer at the Fashion Design Council of India. He passed away on February 15, 2024 when he jumped from the 19th floor of a tower in Noida’s Lotus Boulevard society in Sector 100. He oversaw FDCI orchestrating events and fostering collaboration among designers and industry stakeholders.
Amit graduated from Victoria University in Australia. He was associated with a number of media groups before becoming FDCI. He worked as the National Head of Brand Promotion at Hindustan Times before joining FDCI. He also worked at Bennett Coleman and Co.
