Disneyland is moving forward with a $1.9 billion expansion project after the Anaheim City Council approved the plan

The $1.9 billion expansion was approved by the Anaheim City Council on May 7, with all seven council members voting in favor.

Over the next 10 years, Disney’s investment will go toward updating rides, attractions, land, lodging, entertainment and shopping — without increasing park square footage.

Along with the expansion, Disney said it is ready to give back to the city of Anaheim with its proposed affordable housing, a three-acre community park and street and transportation upgrades.
