dispute

In 2018, he was accused of making up false stories to gain popularity; some of his students claimed he was a liar. According to them, Anand exaggerated the success statistics of his coaching centre, saying that 26 out of 30 students passed the IIT-JEE exam in 2018. But the fact is that only 3 students from Super-30 were able to pass the exam. The students also alleged that Anand sent them to another coaching institute called Ramanujam Mathematics Class when they tried to take admission in his coaching centre. The student trusted Anand and joined Ramanujam Mathematics class and even paid hefty fees and offered handsome remuneration so that he could get the money back later but they never got the money back. Anand, however, dismissed all such accusations and termed them as an attempt to damage the reputation of Super-30. In November 2019, he was directed to appear before the Gauhati High Court on November 28, besides paying Rs. $50,000 in restitution to the guardians and students who brought the charges against him.
