Andrew McMahon was on stage with one of his favorite people during his last tour.
Fans shared videos on social media from recent tour dates where the 41-year-old, performing as Andrew McMahon in Wilderness, welcomed daughter Cecilia, 9½, to join him as he sang his 2014 single “Cecilia and the Satellite.”
The song, written by McMahon as a tribute to his young daughter after her birth, has long been a fan favorite.
One fan shared a TikTok of the performance, writing: “POV: You were there when Andrew McMahon brought Cecilia out on stage as a baby and now you’re watching her sing ‘Cecilia and the Satellite’ with him 8 years later.”

Mandy Moore Says Having Kids Has Inspired Her to Make More Music (Exclusive)
Speaking to Audacy before his performance at the Audacy Beach Festival last December, the singer opened up about touring with his daughter, who he shares with wife Kelly Hansch, over the years.
“We raised her in a tour bus. Before she had to go to school, it was a family and all our things and a child [on the road],” McMahon shared.
“She loves music, she loves being on stage. The first time she went out and sang on stage, it wasn’t planned,” he laughed. “She just ran out, grabbed the mic and did it. I think she’s thrilled with this space … but it’s kind of what she grew up with. I think she’ll probably end up on stage somewhere at the end of the day, my guess is.”
McMahon, who also fronted the bands Something Corporate and Jack’s Mannequin, says Cecilia loves all his old projects.
“I have all my old vinyl in a box and I found it Leaving through the window vinyl, so I gave it to her and there were these very cute proud daddy moments where I was walking by her room and she was like dancing in her room to Leaving through the window record,” he told Audacy.
Cecilia doesn’t have a favorite, but she likes “any song that could refer to her in any way”.
