Anne Hathaway Made This Martha Stewart-Worn Uniform Even More Fall-Friendly by Pairing It with a Denim Jacket

Anne Hathaway just detailed her “not-so-heavy outfit of the day,” and it’s safe to say I plan on trying it out.

During the weekend, Maternal instinct actress took us through her comfy outfit—consisting of a black matching sweatpants, cropped denim jacket, black and white sneakers, and a large tote—on TikTok as she showed us what’s in her bag and reminded us to vote next election month.

“This is my new bag,” Hathaway said before pulling out lip balm, her wallet, a set of Apple AirPods and an eyelash curler (a nod to her film The devil wears Prada). “It was an anniversary present from Adam and I really like it.”

While there was no shortage of moments to fawn over the cute clip, I couldn’t stop focusing on Hathaway’s simply elegant outfit. While the actress isn’t the first star to reach for the matching ensemble on her day off — Martha Stewart and Oprah are also fans of the trend — the addition of her cropped denim jacket and sneakers upgraded the outfit from casual to quiet luxury.

I’ve been mulling over the matching set for months, and Hathaway’s look was the final push to add the tracksuit to my cart. The relaxed silhouette and hooded sweatshirt of this sale option closely resembles the actress’ outfit, and has garnered hundreds of perfect scores from Amazon shoppers who praise its “super thick” and “luxe” feel in reviews. While I plan to get it in the versatile black, it also comes in 17 additional colors, including pink and white.

Denim has taken over my autumn wardrobe this year, and it seems I’m not the only one who is delighted with it. This hip-slung denim jacket from J.Crew looks very similar to Hathaway’s lightweight layer and is currently on sale for $88.
