Anthony Anderson and his ex-wife Alvina Stewart Anderson have settled for divorce.
In court documents obtained by PEOPLE, the estranged couple filed an uncontested default on Sept. 14 and entered into a written agreement detailing their split.
According to the documents, Negro the actor (53) will pay spousal support to his ex-wife, as well as her legal fees.

Alvina previously filed for divorce in 2015, citing irreconcilable differences. In the documents, obtained by PEOPLE at the time, she requested spousal support and stated the date of separation as April 1, 2014.
She filed for dismissal of the divorce petition in January 2017. According to Hey! Newsthey seemed to reconcile their marriage then.
Then on March 25, 2022, Alvina filed for divorce for the second time. She listed the former couple’s split date as “TBD.” At the time, she claimed spousal support in her application and asked Anthony to pay her legal fees.

Alvina also requested that the property acquired during the marriage be treated as “joint” property, and she wanted to divide it all between the exes. Items listed under separate property included “all gifts and inheritances, all property, earnings, accumulations and debts” she acquired prior to the marriage.

Shortly thereafter, Anthony responded to her divorce petition and listed the separation date as February 25, 2022, and cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split.
Documents obtained by PEOPLE at the time stated that the actor requested that spousal support be reserved for a “future decision” and that his estranged wife would receive such compensation. However, he wanted both parties to cover the cost of their own legal fees.
Former Law and order the star eventually agreed to pay Alvina spousal support and the estranged couple jointly decided to sell their Encino, California property and split the proceeds equally.

The court also ordered Anthony to sign a 12-month tenancy agreement with his wife “so that she can secure alternative accommodation”.

Anthony and Alvina married on their 10th anniversary in September 1999. They have two children: daughter Kyra, 26, and son Nathan, 22.
“Sophomore year, her freshman year, I knew a girl who lived in the apartment, so I went to knock on the door to invite her to a party that me and my friends were having. My wife answered the door. I was like, ‘I came invite Stacey to this party we’re having.’ Stacey didn’t turn up, but my wife did – and we’ve been together since that night,” he said. Parade in December. “And I was just me: I got there early, she didn’t see anybody else, she said, ‘Okay, I’m going to go out with this guy!'”

Anthony added: “We got married on our 10th anniversary. She’s quiet, I’m loud. Opposites attract.”
