According to the latest updates, schools and colleges in Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram and Chengalpattu will remain closed on 6th December 2023. Cyclone Michaung has hit the state causing heavy rainfall as predicted by the meteorological department, all educational institutions and government offices will remain closed tomorrow. Parents or students can contact the school administration.

Schools in Odisha were closed on December 6 due to Cyclone Michaung

As per the latest updates, Primary, Upper Primary, Higher Secondary and Anganwadi Centers in Odisha will remain closed tomorrow, 6th December 2023. The holiday has been announced by the Collector’s office and the District Magistrate of Gajapati due to Cyclone Michaung.

According to IMD Director General Dr Mrutyunjay Mohapatra, “Cyclone Michaung will make landfall near Bapatla on the Andhra Pradesh coast. Extremely heavy rainfall will continue in AP today. By morning he will weaken into depression.”
