Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo Dazzle in Sydney as They Kick Off Wicked Press Tour at Australian Premiere

Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo started their own Wicked adventures in Australia!

On Sunday, November 3, the duo, who star in the much-anticipated film adaptation of the beloved Broadway musical, attended the “Journey Through Oz” tour at the State Theater in Sydney, celebrating the film’s Australian premiere, as part of a global press tour.

Like her character Glinda, Grande, 31, arrived in style, wearing a voluminous pink dress, which featured a fitted bodice and striking sleeves covered in a sheer fabric that featured glitter detailing and a full skirt. She completed the look with a diamond butterfly necklace and diamond butterfly ring from Lorraine Schwartz, and wore her hair in a sleek ponytail with one loose curl framing her face.

Erivo, 37, who plays Elphaba, departed from her character’s signature green in a sleek strapless black dress that featured a striking structured skirt that flared at her hips. The actress and singer paired Grande with her own necklace, a black and white statement piece that perfectly complemented her dress.

On the yellow brick carpet that night (which, of course, paid homage to the yellow brick road), the duo posed alongside their co-stars, including Jeff Goldblum, Ethan Slater, Marissa Bode and Jonathan Bailey.

Goldblum, 72, chose a brown suit with a long tailcoat with black lapels and a green silk shirt, while Bailey, 36, looked dapper in a white suit and yellow shirt.

Bode opted for a light green strapless dress which she teamed with metallic green shoes, while Grande’s boyfriend Slater, 32, wore a classic black suit with a brown shirt and dark brown tie.

The Sydney premiere comes a day after Grande and Slater were photographed arriving hand-in-hand in the Australian port city on Saturday, November 2, with the trip itself following Grande and Eriv’s attendance WSJ. Magazine‘with 2024 Innovator Awards, where they posed together on the red carpet.

The We Can’t Be Friends singer looked stunning in a white Vivienne Westwood dress with embroidered flowers. Erivo showed off her style in a sleek gray and green look from Erdem’s Spring 2025 ready-to-wear collection.

At an event on Tuesday, Oct. 29, the actors, who were set to star in the project back in November 2021, told PEOPLE that they’ve “changed for the better” since knowing each other.

On the Friday, November 1 episode of Broadway Podcast Network’s Sentimental men podcast, Grande shared that while she didn’t read the chemistry with Eriva before their casting, they made a pact to “get to know each other that way, where I can just look at her and know what she’s thinking… because without that, nothing else works. ”

The two have often taken inspiration from their characters for their red carpet outfits, and Erivo attended the 4th Annual Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday (October 19) wearing a strapless green Louis Vuitton dress and later changed in an emerald green long-sleeved dress with rhinestones for the performance.

Grande attended the event in a 1963 Balmain strapless couture dress with black and white polka dots.
