“We’ve talked about this since the day we met and during many sleepovers on the bus,” Grande continued. “The greatest joy is to see how the kindness you poured into others, into your co-workers (I’m incredibly lucky to be one of them) returns to you over the years. Happy doesn’t begin to hide it. This is your mother MOMENT!!!! ”
Monét helped write some of Grande’s most popular songs, including “thank u, next,” “needy” and “Be Alright.” The two are such close friends that Monét was one of six women with whom Grande got matching rings in honor of her song “7 Rings.” In December, Monét told PEOPLE that Grande got her a new ring after she thought she lost the original one.
“I have two, because at one point I lost one, and I was so devastated because I’m a bit irresponsible sometimes. That was the old me, this is the new me, but Ariana felt so bad that she got another one,” she said. for PEOPLE.
“Then I found another one. So she’s like, ‘Just keep both,’ so I have two, and I wear them stacked,” the “On My Mama” singer continued.
