Ariana Grande Performs 2 Songs from New Album Eternal Sunshine on Saturday Night Live: Watch

Ariana Grande was on fire Saturday night live sound stage with two songs from her latest project, Eternal sunshine.

The 30-year-old singer returned to SNL performs “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)” and “Imperfect for You” from his seventh studio album, released Friday, for the third time as a musical guest.

Host Josh Brolin introduced Grande for both songs.

During her first performance, Grande sang her song while sitting on the set mimicking home, wearing a black dress and brown coat.

For her second set, Wicked the star wore a nude dress as she sang before an outdoor set, against the backdrop of a virtual screen that changed from day to night.

In January — shortly after the release of the lead single “Yes, And?” — Grande has revealed the cover and title of her next record. Eternal sunshine, a reference to the 2004 film starring Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet.

The LP features 13 tracks and a collaboration with her grandmother, whom she affectionately calls “Nonna.”

Grande recently admitted on The Zach Sang Show that she had no intention of working on new music until at least 2025.

“I was actually really against going out with music until post-Wicked, or both parts or only one part. I wasn’t sure how I would feel,” she said during the interview.

But after the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes halted production on the movie musical, the star found herself back in the studio with hitmaker Max Martin.

As the music “started leaking out” and the “Dangerous Woman” singer continued to work on more material, she thought, “Maybe it should come out if it’s coming out of me like this.”

Later in November, part one Wicked premiered in theaters, starring Grande as Glinda and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba. Of her role as the Good Witch, Grande told Sang, “I’ve never wanted something as bad as this.”

She added that she was “hunting” down there Wickedproducer Marc Platt for almost a decade. “Since I was 20, I was like, ‘Hey, I don’t know when this is happening, but when it is, can I at least audition?’ That’s all I wanted, was an audition. I never wanted anything more,” she recalled.
