Arjun Ram Meghwal Death News: What Happened To Minister of Law and Justice of India?

Arjun Ram Meghwal is an Indian politician currently serving as the Minister of Law and Justice since 2023. He has also served as the Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs since 2017 and the Minister of Culture since 2021. A member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Meghwal has held various other important posts throughout his political career. positions including Chief Whip, Minister of State for Heavy Industry and Public Enterprises, Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs and Minister of State for Water Resources. He has represented the Rajasthan seat of Bikaner in the Lok Sabha since 2009 and was honored with the Best Parliamentarian Award in 2013. Recently there were rumors about the death of Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal. These rumors seem to stem from an incident where an iron mast containing lights fell onto the stage during an event, resulting in the death of one person. However, it is important to clarify that Arjun Ram Meghwal himself narrowly escaped injury during the incident, according to the police.

News of Arjun Ram Meghwal’s death

The incident took place during Ambedkar Jayanti celebrations in Bhim Nagri district, which falls under Sadar police station district. Four other people were injured in the accident due to strong winds that caused the iron mast carrying the lights to fall on the dignitaries sitting on the stage. Arjun Ram Meghwal was the chief guest of the event and Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Culture. He was giving a speech from the podium when the incident happened. According to the Sadar police station official, one person was killed and four were injured as a result of the incident. Due to this near death experience during the event, rumors of Arjun Ram Meghwal’s death started doing the rounds. However, it is important to clarify that he has not passed away and is still in good health, continuing his political career.

Arjun Ram Meghwal

Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal was born in the small town of Kishmidesar in the city of Bikaner, Rajasthan to parents Lakhu Ram Meghwal and Hira Devi. He holds degrees in Political Science, Law and Business Administration from the University of the Philippines and Dungar College in Bikaner, India. He graduated in Law in 1977 and did Post Graduate in Arts as a full time student in 1979. Arjun Ram Meghwal is married to Pana Devi and the couple has two sons and two daughters. He is known for his badminton skills and previously worked as a bureaucrat. Interestingly, he has a cousin named Madan Gopal Meghwal who is an Indian National Congress politician.

Death of Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal

Arjun Ram Meghwal started his political career when he was elected Member of Parliament of Bhartiya Janata Party from Bikaner constituency in 2009. He was sworn in to the Lok Sabha on 2 June 2009. He was re-elected to the 16th Lok Sabha in the 2014 general election, again representing the Bikaner constituency. During his second term as an MP, he served as the chief representative of the Bhartiya Janta Party in the Lok Sabha. He was also nominated by the Speaker of the Lok Sabha for the post of Chairman of the House Committee. In May 2019, Arjun Ram Meghwal was appointed Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises. Before entering politics, he worked in the Rajasthan Administrative Service, serving in the civil service. He joined the army in 1980 and cleared the RAS exams in 1982 and was selected to serve as Rajasthan Udhyog Seva.
