Stews Natalya Scudder and Kyle Viljoen return for the new season, and deckhand Luka Brunton joins from Below deck below, also. Season 8 will also feature a handful of newcomers, including Chef Jack Luby, Bosun Ruan Irving, Stewardess Jessica Asai, and Deckhands Haleigh Gorman and Lara Du Preez.

“I have to drop you off at the dock. Otherwise we’re held back,” Sandy, 58, informs Jessica in a brief overview.
The team prepares a “big gay breakfast” for one group while a not-so-happy atmosphere is created behind the scenes – and a record falls from the ceiling.
“You’ve been a fake bitch talking…behind my back since day one,” Kyle says in the preview.
The first look also teases a romance between Jessica and Luca, as well as a wrist injury that is sidelining Captain Sandy.
“The captain got off the ship?” – asks one of the crew members.

But no matter what, Sandy wants to run a tight ship.
“I have ears, I have eyes, I hear you talk out of both sides of your mouth everyday,” he tells an unidentified crew member in the teaser. “Every situation that happened, guess who the common denominator is? I’ll have you in the dock as soon as you don’t change.”

The first look was released the day after Captain Sandy celebrated 34 years of sobriety.
“34 years ago today, I was broken,” she wrote x (formerly known as Twitter). “I felt hopeless and did not feel worthy to look at the sky. I tried to stay clean and sober for years. On August 29, 1989, something shifted in me. For the first time in many years, I could look up at the sky and feel worthy. #sobriety #loyal.”
