Why Emily in Paris' Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu Would 'Never Wear' Sylvie's Clothes in Real Life (Exclusive)

Filipina Leroy-Beaulieu does not go shopping there Emily in Paris closet soon.

While speaking with PEOPLE ahead of the season four premiere of the Netflix series, the 61-year-old actress revealed why she’s not a huge fan of her character Sylvia Grateau’s fashion choices.

While it gives her the confidence and added charm to fully embody the stylish PR director, Leory-Beaulieu admitted, “When I wear her stuff, I wear things that I would never wear in real life.”

“It has to do with the skirt being too tight, the heels being too high and the difficulty with those things, which I think is the difficulty Sylvie has in her life or in clothes,” she explained. . “Which means they translate it.”

The French actress revealed that she never takes “anything from the show” or her character after the season ends.

I would never wear it in real life, she continued. “Not just because I don’t dress like that, but because it’s character and you want to keep character.”

May 3, Lily Collins and the cast Emily in Paris announced that the fourth season of the hit Netflix series will premiere in two parts. The first five episodes will arrive on Thursday, August 15, followed by the second half on September 12.

The fourth installment of the series will pick up after the “dramatic events of Camille’s (Camille Razat) and Gabriel’s (Lucas Bravo) botched wedding,” according to the official synopsis.

“Emily (Collins) is wavering: she has strong feelings for two men, but now Gabriel is expecting a child with his ex, and Alfie (Lucien Laviscount)’s worst fears about her and Gabriel have been confirmed. At work, Sylvie is forced to face a difficult dilemma from her past for the sake of her marriage, and the Agence Grateau team manages personnel searches,” the synopsis reads.

Meanwhile, Mindy (Ashley Park) prepares for Eurovision with her band, “but when the funds dry up, they are forced to save.”

Season 4 also shows Emily and Gabriel begin working together on his restaurant in hopes of earning a “Michelin Star” and their “chemistry is undeniable.” However, “two big secrets threaten to undo everything they dreamed of.”
