POP STAR LIAM Payne has hit back at fans for making a “misogynistic comment” about his girlfriend Kate Cassidy.
The One Direction star, 30, surprised fans with a blunt eight-word remark in response to Kate’s outfit.

In a new TikTok video, Kate, 25, showed off her plunging black vest and skin-tight trousers ahead of their romantic date in Manchester.
But Liam didn’t look impressed and simply replied: “Looking good, nice and covered for once.”
Some fans were left angry at the comment and called him a hypocrite after the Strip That Down singer recently shared a topless photo of himself with his fans.
One wrote: “’You look good, beautiful and covered once’ ???? Girl, I know you’re faking the laugh at the end.”
Another posted: “The fact that he always claimed to be ‘nice’ and ‘kind’ from One Direction…yikes! He’s about to become a raging misogynist.”
A third echoed: “Release her, god, Liam looks really uncomfortable, I mean, you can literally tell by his body language and facial expression.”
This person added: “It took me 3rd time watching this video to realize that man is LIAM PAYNE?! Wtf! Never liked him, not even when I was a hormonal teenager.”
However, not all fans felt that way and defended the singer.
One wrote: “So many people think they know exactly what’s going on based on a 6 second video. It’s disgusting how so many people are so easy to hate. Shame on you.”
While another agreed and said: “Why do people get so mad when a man says how he likes his girlfriend to dress? She obviously still wears what she wants.”

Liam was set to break the news about his pop career and personal struggles in a shocking sweeping documentary.
But The Sun revealed in July that he had shelved plans for a revealing film about his life, which was to have featured unseen home videos and covered his darkest moments.
Several production companies showed interest in the project when it was first introduced last year.
But it has now been put on hold due to Liam’s ill health – he has been hospitalized twice – and his decision to focus on his music.
A source said: “This time last year, Liam was all fired up about his comeback and teasing new music, but then his health took a turn for the worse.
“There are hours and hours of recorded material, there was interest from various production companies, but in the end he decided not to go any further.”
It was hoped the film would be released on Netflix or Prime Video to coincide with the launch of Liam’s second solo album.
However, in recent months, momentum around the release, which was initially speculated to be later this year, has also slowed.
It’s been a tough 12 months for the singer, who ended up in hospital last August with a nasty kidney infection while rehearsing for a South American tour that would be his first solo tour since leaving 1D.
At the time, he told fans he hoped it would be delayed.
But weeks later, The Sun revealed he was back in hospital with kidney problems after falling ill on a trip to Italy’s Lake Como with influencer girlfriend Kate.
In March, the star released her first song in three years, Teardrops.
In the emotional ballad, Liam, who was previously engaged to model Maya Henry, talks about his struggle to find The One.
But since then everything has been quiet.
‘Taking time’
Last month, the singer signed a new contract with the American talent agency CAA.
It’s a sign that Liam, who is spending more and more of his days across the pond, is considering expanding his career beyond the UK.
With Liam remaining optimistic about the future, the insider added: “Although he is far better than he was at the end of last year, Liam is still taking time to focus on himself.
“His comeback is a moving picture, but the plan is to release new music in the next two months.”
