Ashley Park Talks ‘Hopeful Recovery’ After Septic Shock Hospitalization, Trying to ‘Get Back Into Fighting Shape’

Ashley Park is grateful for all the support she received after being hospitalized in intensive care for “critical septic shock”.

On Sunday, the 32-year-old actress posted a series of photos on Instagram and revealed that she has been “responding to treatments” and is now resting after a medical emergency.

“I am deeply touched and grateful for your wonderful messages of support and comfort, your personal stories about sepsis and hospitalization, and truly every person who reached out to me with love… every message sincerely encouraged me to a speedy recovery full of hope. ”

Park shared that she was medically cleared to fly after “responding to treatments.”

Now he is “recovering and resting” with her in Paris Emily in Paris family, thanking them and Netflix for “their genuine kindness and generous patience while I wait to be medically cleared to work.”

Park’s post included a photo of her getting an acupuncture treatment on her leg and another shot of her hugging her Emily in Paris actress Lily Collins.

“I promise to breathe through all of this and take care as much as I can to get back into fighting shape,” she said. “Meanwhile, thanks for the couch cuddling @lilyjcollins ;)”

“I couldn’t love you more and hugging you made me feel at home. You are an absolute easy sister 🤍,” Collins, 34, commented before sharing a photo of the couple on her own Instagram Story. “And I couldn’t be more fulfilled knowing you’re here, more relieved to know you’re okay and more grateful for your health and heart.”

Earlier this month, Park revealed for the first time on Instagram that she spent the first weeks of 2024 in the hospital after “what started as tonsillitis turned into critical septic shock” and affected several of her organs.

Septic shock is a life-threatening medical condition that occurs when an infection in the body causes extremely low blood pressure and organ failure due to sepsis, according to the Mayo Clinic.

Then Park said that she was most grateful for her boyfriend and Emily in Paris Costar Paul Forman, for being “unconditionally” by her side throughout the health scare.

“You calmed my fears and got me through an ambulance, three different hospitals, a week in the ICU, terrifying ERs, countless scans, tests and injections, excruciating pain and so much confusion, all while we were alone on the other side of the world. far from those we know,” she said alongside photos of Forman, 29, with her in the hospital. “I love you Paul. More than I can say.”

Park admitted that she was hesitant to share the news of her hospitalization because she is “still in the recovery phase.” However, she said she knew it was “certainly on the other side of the worst.”

“I love you all,” she finished. “I’m getting better and I promise I’ll be fine ❤️.”
