Baiju Paravoor passed away on June 26, 2023 at the age of 42, allegedly due to food poisoning. On June 24, 2023, he traveled to Kozhikode to discuss a film project and on his return to Quillon, he dined at a restaurant and subsequently complained of physical discomfort and chest pain. On June 24, 2023, he went to a hospital near his wife’s house in Kunnamkulam and returned home on June 25, 2023; however, he again complained of feeling unwell and was admitted to a hospital in Kuzupili. When his condition worsened, he was taken to a hospital in Kochi City and died on the morning of June 26, 2023. The funeral was held on the evening of June 26, 2023.
