Ballerina Farm's Hannah Neeleman Reveals the 1 'Raw' Ingredient Behind Her Viral Glowy Skin (Exclusive)

There’s so much to Hannah Neeleman’s lifestyle, between her growing business at Ballerina Farm and her viral social media fame. But when it comes to skin care, the mom of eight keeps things simple.

While talking to PEOPLE about the new Farmer protein powder line Ballerina Farm, Neeleman, 34, walked through the routine behind her glowing complexion, which many of her millions of Instagram and TikTok followers often praise in her comments. It boils down to the most basic and best of what nature has to offer.

“I love being outside. I feel like I feel better when I get vitamin D,” she says, adding that she also tries to “drink a lot of water.”

Neeleman says she avoids scrubbing her face, preferring a gentler rinse to more conventional cleansing. She also sticks to organic makeup, mostly using simple blush and tube mascara, which can be removed with water and without streaks.

As with her beauty routine, the social media star feeds her body with staples, and her diet and skincare may work in tandem, at least when it comes to one specific ingredient. In fact, it was Neeleman’s own mother who first noticed it.

“She said, ‘When you started drinking raw milk, your skin got so much better,'” she recalls of her mom’s beauty note. “And I kind of think there’s something to that.”

While Neeleman explained how she incorporated her new protein powder into her daily schedule, she also stressed the importance of sticking to a routine, whether it’s focusing on her exercise regimen or any other wellness needs.

“The start of my day is very important,” the Utah-based creator told PEOPLE, explaining that she starts the morning with exercise and a mixture of chlorophyll, lemon and French salt in her water.

“If I do that, then I’m more disciplined about what I eat throughout the day. I feel like if I get off to a bad start, then it’s like, Oh, I’ve already screwed up,” continued Neeleman, winner of the 2023 Mrs. America pageant. “[If] I feel like I’ve taken care of myself and then we can go.”
