BBC Breakfast looked a little different on Thursday morning as regular presenter Naga Munchetty was not in her usual spot on the red sofa.
The 48-year-old usually presents the current affairs program alongside Charlie Stayt from Thursday to Saturday each week, but has been replaced by BBC Royal correspondent Sarah Campbell.

Naga’s absence comes just days after the star hit back at a viewer who criticized her outfit BBC Breakfast.
After Saturday’s episode, in which Naga donned a gray silk dress, one viewer wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: “@BBCBreakfast What’s @TVNaga01 wearing?? Looks like she came straight to work from a night out at a sleazy singles nightclub… ”

Naga is not the only host who has been missing from the show lately. Sally Nugent, who appears in the first half of the week alongside Jon Kay, was absent from the program on Tuesday and Wednesday. Meanwhile, Jon was away from the red sofa on Monday, leaving Sally to host the show with Ben Thompson.
Although Sally has not responded to her absence from Wednesday’s show, it’s possible she was lying after a late night at the National Television Awards on Tuesday.

The 52-year-old attended the prestigious awards with former rugby player Rob Burrow, who was nominated for his documentary, Rob Burrow – Living with MND.
And Sally and BBC Breakfast have followed Rob’s story closely since he was first diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in December 2019.

Although Rob didn’t win and the gong went to Lewis Capaldi’s Netflix documentary, Sally took to Instagram on Wednesday to thank the fans who voted.
The presenter shared a series of photos showing Sally looking dapper in a gorgeous red dress as she gets ready to perform with Rob’s wife Lindsey. She captioned it: “I definitely didn’t wake up like this. Thanks to the amazing @grainnefrawleymkup for getting me and Lindsey Burrow ready for the awards. “Special thanks to Lindsey who came to the rescue when I realized I was trapped in my dress. (No pictures of this),” she wrote, adding a smiling emoji.
“And thanks to everyone for the votes and posts and incredibly kind messages. The @bbcbreakfast team is so grateful for your support x.”
