The BBC has quietly discontinued MOTDx.
This comes less than a month after Football Focus presenters Alex Scott and Dan Walker were involved in a public spat amid reports of falling viewing figures.

MOTDx was hosted by Jermaine Jenas, and has been on the screens since 2019.
He looked at football in a relaxed way and aimed at a younger audience.
The Match of the Day spin-off series was full of exclusive interviews and also covered music, fashion and culture.
It was broadcast on BBC Three and BBC Two.
A BBC spokesman said: “We’ve made some changes to our football production this season, which means we’ll be producing even more digital content for audiences on BBC Sport platforms.
“While we are proud of MOTDx and want to thank everyone involved, it will no longer continue.”
The aforementioned changes come after Scott and Walker were involved in a public debate over the BBC’s football show Football Focus.
Walker, who now works for Channel 5, claims the program is “struggling”.

Last year, Beeb boss Tim Davie admitted he would abandon the channel’s plan to “attract young people”.
Walker said on Twitter: “It’s hard to see Football Focus struggling. I loved him growing up and it was an honor to feature him and I still miss him.
“Every week we put everything into that show and worked hard to keep it relevant. I hope it remains part of the TV landscape.”
Scott replied “interesting” in what some thought was a dig at her predecessor.
Walker shot back and added, “I’m not saying you’re not [worked hard] Alex. It’s a saturated market and it’s hard work every week. I hope you have a good performance today.”
MOTDx is not the only high-profile show to lose its slot this season with Soccer AM axed by Sky Sports after 20 years.
