Boygenius Wears Matching White Suits and Pink Carnation Boutonnieres for 2024 Grammys Debut

Boygenius just hit the Grammy Awards red carpet looking perfect — and we’re doing our best to be “cool about it.”

All three members of the singer-songwriter supergroup – Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus – arrived at the show in custom Thom Browne white silk moire tuxedos with white satin wristbands, black silk ties and pink carnation buds.

According to Far Out Magazine, the trio wore pink carnations as a tribute to musician Elliott Smith, who died in 2003 at the age of 34 from a stabbing. In their song “We’re In Love,” the band sings, “I’ll be the boy with the pink carnation.”

Record the rockers — known for their affinity for menswear-inspired looks — completed their looks with shiny black lace-up shoes, a red button-down and black ties.

Bridgers, 29, styled her platinum hair in loose waves and rocked white eyeshadow, while Baker, 28, kept her glam to a minimum with bare lips.

On either side, flanked by Bridgers and Baker, Dacus, 28, put on a red. However, the boy’s makeup did not necessarily last. After three wins before the show, Dacus shared a photo of herself after crying, with mascara smeared on her face. Bridgers had a similar makeup stain — a red lip mark from one of his bandmates, as seen in a celebratory Boygenius Instagram post.

Before the ceremony began, the group won awards for best alternative music album, and their song “Not Strong Enough” won best rock song and best rock performance.

The song is also nominated for Record of the Year, and their song “Cool About It” is up for Best Alternative Performance.

For her Grammys red carpet debut, the “Moon Song” singer took her signature skeleton motif to the next level in a stunning Thom Browne look complete with glittering bones — and revealed that the outfit actually inspired her spooky aesthetic.

“I wear a skeleton costume all the time, but one of the reasons I do it is because I saw this Thom Browne dress a long time ago and thought it was so cool. And I asked for it,” Bridgers said during Hey! Live from the Red Carpet.

“I basically stole it,” she added.
