Bridgerton it has Pitbull’s seal of approval!
In an Instagram post on Tuesday, May 21, the rapper, 43, showed his full support for Archer Marsh’s Netflix cut of his 2011 hit “Give Me Everything.”
“This shows the world again how music is an international language that transcends borders and more so how a hit song can be timeless. Thanks @bridgertonnetflix and @netflix for the opportunity Dale! @neyo @afrojack,” Pitbull wrote alongside a clip from the show.
Fans were shocked to hear a string cover of the dance track — which featured NE-YO, Afrojack and Nayer — playing in the background of Nicole Coughlan and Luke Newton’s busy carriage scene in the Season 3 premiere.

His feature on the show comes years after the song spent 45 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, giving Pitbull his first number one hit.
The song resonated with Bridgerton showrunner Jess Brownell, who in a recent interview with Business Insider recalled how she felt when she first heard the shortened version of the song.
“I have to tell you, I’m not a regular Pitbull listener, but I heard that song on a playlist without realizing what the song was at first and I just thought this song has such an amazing edifice,” Brownell told the news outlet.

Brownell said the song fit the scene perfectly, explaining, “If you think about that scene, it’s worth the years of their friendship and Penelope’s infatuation in this big crescendo.”
“I listened to a lot of slower romantic songs, but none of them had the right feel, the right structure and the right crescendo,” Brownell continued. “And that Pitbull song has so many elements in it that it just, I think, kind of describes the dynamic that’s going on in the scene.”

“The song is amazing and has such a great build, and that’s what the scene really needed. It needed this anticipation and then the explosion in the main chorus of the song as we see what’s happening on screen,” Kamps said.
