Brooklyn Beckham Takes Wife Nicola on One of His Favorite Childhood Family Trips: 'It's My First Memory' (Exclusive)

Brooklyn Peltz Beckham likes to travel to sentimental places from his past with his wife Nicola by his side.

In an exclusive chat with PEOPLE about his new travel guide for Trainline, the photographer and model, 25, talks about vacationing with his wife in the same place he and his famous family have vacationed for years, ever since he was a kid.

“One of my favorite places is Napa Valley,” Brooklyn says of the Northern California vineyard hot spot, noting that trips to the area are some of his “earliest memories.”

“I always went there with my mum and dad when they were growing up,” adds the star, referring to his parents, David and Victoria Beckham. “It’s where I take my wife now. It’s still my favorite place.”

David and Victoria Beckham spend European vacation with their children: ‘Family time is everything’

According to Brooklyn, he and Nicola, 29, are “very similar” when it comes to their travel tastes – with one exception.

“She likes the heat. I’m more of a cold person. So that’s the only thing, I just try to go somewhere that’s not too hot or too cold, so in the middle,” he explains.

Brooklyn also likes to go on vacation with his family, which, in addition to his mother and father, includes brothers Romeo 21 and Cruz (19) and sister Harper (12).

“We try to go on a few trips a year,” says Brooklyn. “But I’m always working, my mom and dad are always working, and my siblings are doing their own thing. But whenever our schedules overlap and we don’t have that much to do, we like to try to get away together.”

As for Brooklyn, his favorite parts of traveling are “trying different cuisines and meeting people.”

His least favorite part is universal: “I think the number one thing is maybe just jet lag,” he adds.

Although he’s been jet-setting since he was a kid, one destination is at the top of his bucket list: “I’d love to go to India,” he says.

“I just love the culture, I love the food. Indian is one of my favorite foods,” he continues. “I would love to go and just learn about the culture and try some food.”

Brooklyn’s love of travel is what prompted him to team up with Trainline to create a #TrainPicnic guide to Europe, featuring “insider tips on Europe’s top restaurants, hidden gem markets and must-see food festivals, all accessible by train.” , according to the press release.

The guide also features four recipes Brooklyn came up with based on snacks he likes to eat while traveling in the UK, France, Spain and Italy — sausage roll, tarte au citron, tortilla and chicken parmigiana on focaccia.

“I am honored that Trainline wanted to work with me,” Brooklyn tells PEOPLE. “We want to show and tell people how convenient it is to ride the train, [so they can see] beautiful scenery, meet amazing people, eat great food and just have a great time.”

Trainline offers routes from over 270 train and bus companies in 40 countries. The company allows the purchase of tickets in US currency.
