Calif. Deputies Help Deliver Baby Minutes After Arriving at the Mother’s Home

A surrogate just helped give birth!

Early Tuesday morning, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Station in Victorville assisted with the delivery of the baby boy, according to an SBCS news release.

Deputy J. Tomasello arrived on scene and found the unnamed mother in active labor. The mother-to-be told the deputy that she felt her baby was ready to arrive and needed to start pushing. Soon, Tomasello prepared to give birth and immediately put on gloves. The deputy then helped the mother deliver the baby.

While Deputy Tomasello assisted in the delivery, two other deputies – Deputy Robinson and Deputy Vasquez – supported the mother and held her hand during the birth. A few minutes later, at approximately 5:35 a.m. on Tuesday, March 12, baby boy Bryson was born.

The mother and newborn were then taken to a “local hospital as a precaution,” according to an SBCS news release. At the hospital, Deputy Tomasello examined the mother and son. He sat and held the newborn during his visit. He shared that they are both doing well since the eventful morning.

“Congratulations to Mom and 👶 Bryson!” SBCS wrote in a Facebook post. “🚨 Great representatives! 🥲🫶👏.”
