Camila Cabello channeled the ’90s with her new hairstyle.
The “Senorita” singer, 26, shared a look at her new hairdo in an Instagram column on Thursday.
Cabella’s montage video included various clips showing off her platinum blonde look, which also includes her signature blunt bangs. She styled the new look wavy with a trendy “wet” hair look – with the help of hair colorist Nikki Lee and hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos.

Throughout the video, Cabello films herself with her handheld camcorder while posing in a mirror. She was also seen wearing a cropped white t-shirt, black low-waisted pants and a black panty peeking out over her pants.
She finished off her ’90s-inspired look with brown glossy lipstick with dark brown lip liner, shimmery eyeshadow and smudged black eyeliner.

She captioned the video “it’s about time >:),” hinting that she may release new music soon.
Her fans loved the new look, including Dinah Jane, who commented: “wowwww blondes have more fun😍🤪.”
“Guys it’s time to be together ready to put her back on top, it’s been a while,” one fan wrote.
“Camila wanted a big moment for 2024, and what bigger moment than going platinum blonde! A color she’s never had before,” Lee said in a statement Thursday. “We promised each other we could do it, but only if we kept her hair as healthy as possible. We got her to this color with 3 terms.”
Lee added that it’s “important to be patient” when going from “almost black hair to platinum blonde hair” and “understand that it’s a process.”
“We used the L’Oreal Paris Féria Toner in Icy Blonde as an easy way for her to eliminate any brassiness and keep her hair shiny until she comes back to the salon to see me,” concluded Lee. “We love everything about this change on her, she’s glowing and channeling 2024 vibes!”

Cabello previously told PEOPLE that beauty wasn’t always her priority. At the Evolution with Beauty: of L’Oréal Paris Women of Worth event in November 2023, the singer-songwriter and brand ambassador opened up about her relationship with beauty.
“He’s really developed so much. I feel like beauty was the last thing on my mind when I was younger and started working,” Cabello told PEOPLE.
“Being in an immigrant family… seemed frivolous to me,” she added. “Now I’m like, ‘No, it’s really just an expression of joy and what it means to be alive.’ Now I’m obsessed with beauty. It’s so much fun.”

Cabello’s mother, Sinuhe Cabello, served as a “huge inspiration” to her, offering beauty tips — and was always honest, she said.
“She’ll say, ‘Your whole vibe is amazing, but you need to fix that part.’ It has always been for her [about how] looking your best makes you feel more confident. It’s not some frivolous, shallow thing,” said the Grammy-nominated musician. “It makes you feel better about yourself. It’s true.”
