Cassandra Freeman, Coco Jones and Akira Akbar Talk ‘Bel Air’ Season 2
Rant screen: Bel Air One of the best shows on TV. Cassandra, Jeffrey and Will were gone at the start of the season. Viv found her art scholarship and she really focused on her art. How does this affect her relationship with Phil? How did Will and the rest of the Banks family change from season one to season two?
Cassandra Freeman: That’s a big question, my friend. Thank you for coming to the energy. With Will and Jeffrey gone, the family dynamic has changed dramatically. Not having Geoffrey by my side would make it difficult for me to be an artist. The number one goal for me is to bring Jeffrey back to this house; to bring Will back to this house.
She is more invested in her art and her status with Phil seems to have changed as well.
Cassandra Freeman: I think when people know you’re their support system, when they’re too busy with their own world, things get really annoying. You will find that Vivienne has become very short-sighted about her world. She’s going to put a lot of effort into building this, and really, no one’s going to rush her. She always takes care of other people’s gardens.
Now, her garden is starting to weather the storm of it all, but Hilary is truly a blessing in her life. There are some other lucky things that happen, but she also has to put some other people aside and raise her husband to understand what he needs to be. She still has a lot of work to do.
Coco, Hillary’s new position at the House of Influencers poses some challenges, especially for their friend Ivy. How does she take on more management roles in the influencer space and handle partnerships with other influencers?
Coco Jones: I think she’s just trying to balance that and sort things out. She is still a young woman with many goals, but perhaps doesn’t exactly know the specifics of how to achieve them all. The power struggle between her and Ivy is multi-layered, and since they’re so similar, they can really be great friends if they don’t have that much rivalry sometimes. Other times they get along very well. I think she’s just trying to find balance, like any young woman.
Akira, has had a real torch-passing moment this season, especially the collision between Ashley and Tatiana Ali (who plays Mrs. Hughes on the show). Can you talk about Mrs. Hughes’ influence on Ashley and how she changed Ashley’s view of the world a bit?
Akira Akbar: I think Mrs. Hughes had a big influence on Ashley, starting with her giving her a book to read. It just makes Ashley more receptive to advice and more willing to learn. Indeed, what Mrs. Hughes helped her clearly was learning, because she taught. But Mrs Hughes taught Ashley an incredibly valuable lesson that she essentially applied throughout the season.
Cassandra Weir has focused on basketball this season. He has found a new mentor and Dr. Hightower, which worries Uncle Phil. What does Vivi think of Dr. Hightower? How does this differ from Phil’s perception of him?
Cassandra Freeman: Now I feel like I’m married to Phil. First, we are always consistent with how we feel about others. But I’m glad Will has something positive that he’s focused on, especially since he’s taken something away and that’s basically become the only place he can turn to to end up. end this world of basketball. So I think it’s fine.
But I really think the story is about how men realize what other men are doing under the surface, so she’s not peeking at stuff like Phil did. At the same time, it becomes how young people don’t understand people’s energy and how that can change their future and how adults understand it. I just think there’s a lot of generational and gender issues going on at the same time. They get a little messy.
Coco, I love the relationship with Hillary and Jazz. Can you briefly describe your relationship? Although Hillary is a public figure, she seems to want to keep the relationship private, while Sir wants to be really public.
Coco Jones: I think Hilary has really changed this season because I think she’s famous for being the driving mistress. But when it comes to her relationship, I think there’s a lot of hurt and the potential to be hurt or threatened by online judgment. She’s a social media influencer and that’s her world. That is her job.
Public opinion can see, read and retweet fear about public engagement. I think Hillary has developed a lot in these very popular storylines. I feel in this day and age it’s normal to be shy about your relationship going public, or you can be hurt, uncertain about your personal life but very sure about your professional life. his career.
