CBSE Board Exams 2024: Students are preparing for the upcoming CBSE Class 10 and 12 exams. Sometimes they are overwhelmed with the pressure of scoring good marks. In these circumstances, the New Education Policy (NEP 2020) and the new exam pattern can provide relief to students. The format of CBSE board education is going to undergo major changes in the coming years and preparations for the same have begun.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has introduced major changes in the marking scheme and exam pattern for class 10 and 12. This will help students overcome the pressure while reducing tuition. Students are advised to read the entire article to get an insight into the changes.

CBSE Board Exams 2024 from February; Class 10, 12 sample papers OUT

CBSE Board Exams 2024 will start on February 15, 2023. The authorities have also released the class 10 and 12 mock papers on the official website: cbse.gov.in. Students can familiarize themselves with the sample exam and grading scheme through sample papers. Competency-based questions will increase so students understand the subject rather than memorizing it.

CBSE Board to Increase Competency Based Questions

In class 10 there will be 50% questions based on competency/case or something else. 20 percent questions will be answer type, 20 percent MCQ questions and 30 percent constructed response questions (short answer/long answer questions).

In class 12 there can be up to 40% competency or case based questions, 20% response type questions, 20% multiple choice questions and 40% constructed response questions (short answer/long answer questions).

Students have to take the pre-primary exam before the main exam, according to the new pattern paper of the CBSE board. CBSE Board Exams 2024 will have more aptitude based questions.

Students have to appear in the preparatory committees before the main examination

According to the new model paper of the CBSE board, students will have to take the school pre-board exam before the main exam. The number of aptitude-based questions is increasing in the exam to be held in 2024. A total of 50% of class 10 questions and 40% of class 12 questions will be aptitude-based. The exam will also have objective, short and long answers. Within three hours, students must answer 15-35 questions in writing.
