Cher Reveals How She'll Celebrate Her 78th Birthday: I'll Be 'Putting My Pillow Over My Head and Screaming'

Cher doesn’t seem too thrilled about turning another year older.

While attending the premiere of the documentary Bob Mackie: A naked illusion at the Paley Center in Los Angeles earlier this week, the music icon, who turns 78 on Monday, May 20, revealed how she plans to spend her special day.

“[I’ll be] I put a pillow over my head and screamed,” Cher said Party tonight.

Asked the same question at the event by E! News, the “Believe” singer echoed similar sentiments, declaring, “I’m putting my head under the bed.”

“Ok will anyone 🙏🏼 PLEASE tell me…..When will I feel OLD👶🏻,” she wrote at the time. “That’s funny.”

“I keep hearing these numbers but I honestly can’t understand them. WHAT’S UP WITH #⁉️ I’m dyslexic and #’s are hard for me,” Cher added.

Back in November, Cher appeared on Good morning Britain and opened up about her thoughts on aging.

“I just can’t believe I’m going to be 80 at some point, sooner than I’d like,” she said. “I’ll still wear my jeans, I’ll still wear my hair long, I’ll still do the same things I’ve always done.”
