A student is on trial at Winchester Crown Court charged with murder and attempted murder.

Jurors were shown footage of him arriving in the seaside town in May this year, before walking up and down the beach.

Sarah Jones KC, prosecuting, told the court that Saadi walked along the promenade to Durley Chine at night to “reconnaissance” the area.

The jury was also shown CCTV footage which allegedly shows the defendant in a Waitrose store in Croydon on May 20, where he made a purchase and took some money from an ATM.

He was also shown on video the following day leaving for Clapham Junction station, where he boarded a train to Bournemouth.

He is then seen leaving the station and getting into a taxi which takes him to the Travelodge Hotel.

Saadi was then seen going to a Five Guys restaurant that same evening.

On the day of the attack, May 24, the defendant was allegedly shown buying wet wipes and nail clippers in a Superdrug store.

The court heard Amie suffered 10 stab wounds after being randomly attacked on the beach.

She screamed “get off me” and Leanne pleaded “stop, I’ve got kids” as they were stabbed.

They were talking by the fire to keep warm when Saadi allegedly shot them at random.

In a 999 call played in court, Leanne was heard crying out in pain.

She could be heard telling the operator: “I’ve been stabbed so many times. Oh my God, my head is spinning, please hurry, please hurry.”

Leanne then says she doesn’t know where Amie is, adding: “Oh, I’m sick, they have to be faster, I’m in a lot of pain, are you still there, please don’t leave me.”

She continues, “I’m bleeding everywhere, I’ve been stabbed a bunch of times.”

The student, meanwhile, is said to have researched methods of murder, including that of Brianna Ghey, before the alleged attack

It came after he asked his lecturers a series of questions about defenses to murder, the court heard.

CCTV allegedly captured the attack, before Saadi was positively identified by a photographer who was in the area at the time, the court heard.

In an interview with police, Saadi said he was interested in true crime and enjoyed horror films.

He also admitted visiting Bournemouth but said he may have suffered a “blackout” or “been hit because he had been drinking”.

Saadi, who pleaded guilty to failing to give police his mobile phone passcode, denies the charges and the trial continues.

The trial continues.
