Chrissy Teigen Shares Cute New Photo of Son Miles Wearing His Glucose Monitor After Type 1 Diabetes Diagnosis

Chrissy Teigen shares another family news on social networks.

On Tuesday, September 10, Cravings The cookbook author, 38, posed with her son Miles, 6, in a sweet Instagram photo after revealing her type 1 diabetes diagnosis in July.

Among the carousel of photos, Miles’ glucose meter could be seen on his left arm as he cozyed up next to his mom for a sweet selfie as the pair dined at a seafood restaurant, carrying their shrimp.

Other snaps and clips in the post included Teigen and John Legend’s daughter Esti, 19 months, saying “I’m cutie pie,” as well as a picture of her eating spaghetti, and an adorable snap of her posing with her brother Wren, 14 months.

One clip showed the couple’s oldest child Luna, 8, kissing Esti, among many other cute pictures of the couple’s offspring.

“busy 🐝🐝🐝s!!!! ready for fall weather please lord!!,” Teigen wrote in the caption.

The TV personality’s latest post comes after fans spotted Miles’ glucose monitor in a picture she shared from the Paris 2024 Olympics, which showed her, Luna and Miles holding up a sign for gymnast Simone Biles.

After noticing the comments, Teigen confirmed Miles’ diagnosis of type 1 diabetes, writing on Instagram on July 31: “Many of you noticed something special about the photo I posted a few days ago — Luna, Miles and I celebrating Simone and Team USA .”

The mum-of-four added: “Miles raised his hand and it was sooooooo touching to say the most beautiful and amazing words I’ve ever witnessed on this platform. You noticed his type 1 diabetes monitor and showed so much love and encouragement in every way possible. Already I’ve been blown away by the kindness of this community,” insisting that “things could be a lot worse,” and her family feels blessed to have the help of professionals.

“After additional testing, we found out he is in the ‘honeymoon period’ of T1 life. We gave him his first insulin shot last night and here we are! A different, new world for us and we sure are learning so much on the fly,” Teigen’s post read at the time, noting that they relied on the book Year one with guy one to help Miles with his diagnosis.

After the family revealed the diagnosis, Teigen’s husband Legend recalled to PEOPLE how Miles ended up in the emergency room due to an illness he caught at summer camp. Doctors eventually realized he had type 1 diabetes after checking his blood sugar.

“This is about us feeling like a team,” he said of Teigen, adding, “And knowing that we can do this together. It just makes us stronger.”
