Christina Aguilera Says ‘Supportive’ Daughter Summer, 9, Wants to be Her Manager: ‘I’ve Never Felt so Loved’

Christina Aguilera’s daughter Summer Rain has set her sights on a new gig!

Aguilera (43) revealed in the new Vogue interview published Friday that 9-year-old daughter Summer has decided to become her manager — or “old daughter,” as she’s now aptly dubbed — after spending time behind the scenes of her Las Vegas residency, which began Dec. 30.

Speaking to the publication, Aguilera said: “After my performance on New Year’s Eve, Will.i.am comes backstage and my daughter is there. She is so enthusiastic about the world behind the scenes and the production of everything, and she loves the band and the singers in the background…”

“Before I go on stage, she knows I’m nervous, and she said, ‘You’re going to be great, Mom,'” the singer continued. “My manager will say, ‘She’s coming for my job!’ ”

“And on the way to school the other day with her dad, she said, ‘When I grow up, I want to be either my mom’s photographer or my mom’s manager.’ That’s so funny.”

Aguilera added that rapper and singer-songwriter Will.i.am (48) came up with an ingenious postman stick for daughter Summer. “He said, ‘Oh my God, she’s yours daughter-old woman.’ So daughter-ager is the word of the year. It’s just so sweet,” she said Vogue.

The singer said of her daughter – whom she shares with fiance Matt Rutler – that “I’ve never felt so loved by probably anyone in my life like that little angel face of mine. She is such a support, such a light.”

“She is 100% like that. If I’m late for something or have a meeting, she says, ‘You know they’re waiting, Mom. We have to go.’ It’s hilarious,” continued Aguilera — who is also mother to son Max Bratman, 15, with ex Jordan Bratman.

The “Hurt” singer shared that she shouldn’t be surprised how her daughter turned out, since before Summer was born she got a prediction from an “intuitive” she worked with that she would have a baby girl who would “be your protector” and “watch over you”.

“And I’m like,”Oh, really?’ “, Aguilera recalled Vogue, before you get emotional. “And she literally embodies that, and it’s just the most beautiful… I could cry thinking about it. I don’t want to cry today! She marches to the beat of her own drum, and she’s just a little firecracker.”

Aguilera’s latest interview was released shortly after she announced last week that she was postponing some of her residency shows due to the “New Year’s flu.”

“AFTER WISHING YOU ALL A NEW YEAR FROM THE STAGE IN LAS VEGAS. I WAS WELCOMED BY THE NEW YEAR’S FLU!!!” wrote the singer in an Instagram Story post. She added: “I’M SORRY TO SHARE THAT MY TWO CONCERTS THIS WEEKEND WILL BE POSTPONED WHILE I REST – AND I CAN’T WAIT TO GET BACK ON THAT STAGE IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS.”
