Christine Brown Vows to ‘Always’ Honor Garrison as She Struggles with ‘Difficult Balance’ of ‘Embracing Life’ and Grieving

Christine Brown gets candid about grieving Garrison Brown in the weeks following his death.

In a Sunday post on Instagram, Sister wives star, 51, showed one of the many ways she has kept Garrison close to her heart since he died suddenly aged 25.

“Today I made Garrison’s favorite breakfast (colored green, obviously),” she wrote in the St. Patrick’s Day post, which included three slides of her kitchen set and ingredients for tapioca pudding. “We will always remember and honor Garrison, no matter what life throws at us every day.”

Continuing, Christine admitted, “It’s such a hard balance between life and everyday routines like celebrating the holidays and working while you’re grieving. So, hey, I made his favorite for St. Patrick’s Day!”

The TLC star also added the hashtags “#mocktapiocapudding #breakfast #greenfood #stpatricksday #remember”

Christine Brown says ‘every photo with Garrison’ is ‘infinitely more important than ever’ after his death

Garrison, the son of Christina’s ex Kody Brown and Janelle Brown, was found dead at his home in Flagstaff, Arizona on March 5. Lt. Charles M. Hernandez II of the Flagstaff Police Department told PEOPLE that officers responded to a report of a death inside the home and confirmed that Garrison’s brother, Gabriel, 22, “discovered Mr. Brown dead” in the alleged suicide.

“There is no indication of foul play at this time, and detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division are conducting the investigation,” Lt. Hernandez’s statement continued.

Shortly after the news, Janelle, 54, and Kody, 55, shared a statement on Instagram confirming their son’s death.

“Kody and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy Robert Garrison Brown. He was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him,” she wrote alongside a series of photos of her son. “His loss will leave such a big hole in our lives that it takes our breath away. Please respect our privacy and join us in honoring his memory.” (Kody posted the same statement on his own Instagram page.)

Garrison Brown’s sister Maddie claims social media made him feel he was ‘not doing enough’ before his death at 25.

Since then, Christine has taken to social media on several occasions to pay tribute to Garrison.

On March 7, Christine shared her first tribute to him on Instagram, calling Garrison “a caring brother who understands [her daughter] She really needed a hobby and made her a flower bed.” Along with a video of Garrison building the flower bed, she wrote: “We will miss her forever.”

Three days later, Christine posted a new carousel of photos of Garrison and wrote in the caption: “Every photo with Garrison in it is infinitely more important now than ever before. I’m grasping for another glimpse of such an amazing man, brother, son… #alwaysloved #missed #insufficiently.”

Sister wives fans were first introduced to Garrison on the TLC show, which documented the lives of his family, including siblings Maddie, 28; Savana, 19 years old; Logan, 29 years old; Hunter, 27, and Gabe, are all children of Janelle and Kody. Kody also shares 12 other children with his former and current sister.

Before Garrison’s death, he and his brother Gabe had a strained relationship with their father, Kody, following the COVID-19 pandemic. However, at last year’s Sister Wives Special: Take a look back at where we started specifically, Janelle revealed that her ex eventually “had somewhat of a relationship with Garrison,” but that overall there was no “reconciliation.”
