Conan O’Brien can find humor in everything, including parenting his children: Neve and Beckett.

The former late-night host and his wife Liza Powell O’Brien had a daughter, Neve, in 2003, and their son, Beckett, followed in 2005.

On social networks, Conan often shares funny anecdotes about his children and jokes about the various joys of fatherhood. “My kids consider me their best friend, the one they rejected like a rock in high school,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter) in 2022

Although the comedian likes to joke around, Conan also has a sentimental side when it comes to dad.

According to her LinkedIn, she studies history and is an illustrator for Yale Daily News Magazine. She also said that she is interested in performing arts and music production.

In addition to her creative pursuits, Neve lobbied for stricter gun control in California with the organization TeamENOUGH.

In 2020, Conan gave heartfelt praise to his daughter post on X.

“The person who told me that Ruth Bader Ginsburg had passed away was my daughter Neve,” he wrote. “I was terribly sad, but also filled with gratitude that my daughter could see firsthand how intelligent, courageous women can change the world.”

During an interview with Absolute Radio, the former late-night host spoke about Beckett’s love of technology. “My son is like a little Steve Jobs,” he said of the then eight-year-old. “He’s very good at the computer.”

Conan continued, saying that Beckett decided to emulate Jobs, when his son’s school asked the kids to dress up as their heroes.

In 2018, the father-son duo attended the Bay Area Maker Faire and participated in a video discussing their experience. “Beckett was so upset about that… I was in awe of the ball you made levitate,” Conan told the camera as he stood next to his son.

When the comedian said goodbye to late-night television in 2021, he opened up about his decision in an interview with Vulture.

“When you get married and start having children, and your children grow up and you have a good share of success, that incentive [for more success] numb it a bit,” said Conan. “I am happier now than I have been at any other time in my life.”

He continued: “I’m so happy now that I’m spending time with my kids, who are so funny and smart, and my wife, who is so funny and smart.”
