Police are investigating whether a car traveling the wrong way on the M6 killed two children, a woman and a man.

Cumbria Police are understood to be investigating whether the Skoda was going the wrong way on the motorway.
It came after police confirmed the driver of the Skoda, a man from Cambridgeshire, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A third child, who was in the Toyota, was airlifted to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Newcastle with serious injuries.
The statement from the police force also states that the families of those involved are being assisted by specially trained police officers.
The M6 northbound was fully reopened in the early hours of the morning.
Police are now appealing for witnesses after the horrific accident on the motorway.
